Education, Health and Care plans (EHC) support focusing on the syndrome specific learning style of children and young people with Down Syndrome.
Having been aware of the DSDT for a while, we contacted Sen to ask for advice on the EHCP process. Initially she sent us a very helpful email with some general guidance, along with the offer to look over the draft plan and support us at any meetings with the local authority and school to discuss the plan.
Ese Stacey’s involvement with Down syndrome issues came about after her second child Hannah was born with the condition in 2005. Since then Ese and her husband Simon have worked tirelessly to help change the health and lives of Down syndrome children.
Recently published research study in the Journal of Child Language, has reported that children with Down syndrome can benefit from the use of written words alongside pictures to help teach spoken vocabulary.

We are pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded a grant from the Big Lottery for the development of a new phase of our sports programme. We have seen great success with the work already done and many of our sporting academy members are achieving a higher level of fitness, stamina and motor skills, along with a greater ability to participate and
