Down Syndrome Development Trust (DSDT) wins funding for training days and clinics.

DSDT has been awarded £2500 by Sussex Community Foundation in its latest round of grant-giving to help DSDT to develop a model for helping schools and parents in the delivery of specialist communication intervention skills to target the specific learning profile of children with Down syndrome.

The grant will partially pay for training days for parents and professionals providing specific information about Down syndrome. It will also pay for speech, language and cognitive development clinics for children with Down syndrome.

“We are absolutely delighted to receive this grant,” said Sen Smallwood, Managing Director of DSDT.
“It means we can continue to support local people with Down syndrome and their families and we are really grateful for the continued support of Sussex Community Foundation and its donors.”
