After several concerts in France, Germany and the US, the “Lyrical Twins” are finally coming to London!
We are very pleased to invite you to an evening of Opera Duets, on Friday 5th July at 7pm at Leighton House, 12 Holland Park Rd, London W14 8LZ.
This concert is performed for the benefit of the Down Syndrome Development Trust, supporting people living with Down syndrome.
The concert
In this recital, two twin sisters blend their voices with humour, complicity and poetry. They are showcasing a repertoire of Lieder and Opera duets: Mozart, Delibes, Rossini, Saint-Saens, Fauré, Bellini, Brahms and Mendelssohn to name a few.
They are accompanied by pianist Hubert Virlet, who in 2004 won the piano first prize at Versailles’ prestigious music school, the Versailles Conservatoire de Musique.
Entrance £30, including your private tour of the museum from 7pm, followed at 8pm by the concert and champagne interval.

Note: Leighton House is an exceptional venue, but unfortunately only offers 100 seats. First come, first served!
About Lyrical Twins
Anne-Laure and Gersende Piganeau are sopranos. After their music studies at the Versailles Conservatoire de Musique, Paris Ecole Normale de Musique and Boston New England Conservatory, they created the Lyrical Twins ensemble in 2007 and they have performed at many concerts. Highlights include participating in the Mois Molière Festival in Versailles in 2007, 2009 and 2013. They also won the jury’s first prize at the 2008 Frankfurt Opera Award. They released a duet album in 2009 and are currently recording a songbook of German Lieder.
