2019 saw the Down Syndrome Development Trust in partnership with Symbol UK run a 3 day workshop for co-workers.
The training aimed at supporting the communication of children and young people with Down syndrome was a great success.
I have developed a better understanding of a considerable number of students in relation to Downs syndrome. Students consistently give very positive feedback and draw on their new knowledge in seminars to share with others. I have no doubt that this informs their practice in school.
