Off to Work

Off to Work is a new service which plans to support people living with Down Syndrome into the workplace.

We are looking for employers who are willing to engage our members into employment. We will offer support and ongoing training for those wishing to engage in this rewarding scheme.

Along with our support and training there is the Government Access to Work Scheme which provides additional help and funding for employers and employees.

Government Access to Work Scheme

An Access to Work grant is money for practical support to help you do your job. It’s for people with a disability, health or mental health condition.

The money you get can pay for things like:

  • specialist equipment
  • travel when you can’t use public transport
  • a communicator at a job interview

How much you are likely to receive depends on your circumstances.
It’s only available in England, Scotland and Wales.
